Capt Seid Waddell Oh My! LOL! My Only Good "Truck" Story comes from when I worked for Sprint, Oversaw the National Fiber Optic Network. My Thing was SONET Rings, Usually Buried Underground Near Rail Lines but not always. Sometimes Above Ground, Sometimes on Overhead Poles. Dumptruck going thru downtown Kansas City forgets to Lower the Bed, Rips out a Cable, Fiber Optic Cable. Causing a Node Isolation for Half the Fiber Optic Ring. Unfortunately it was the Ring Connecting the 411 Operators in Kansas City to the Actual Data Base in St Louis. Yeah that was a Crappy Day at the Office.

PO1 William "Chip" Nagel, my stepson did a similar thing in New Mexico on the Armendaris Ranch. He was using a back hoe to dig a trench near one of the range gates. Unknown to him, the fiber cable ran alongside the dirt road the gate was on; he cut the cable with the back hoe and cut off telecommunications for half of New Mexico.

There were a lot of upset people over that one.

Capt Seid Waddell The mechanical and structural failure ones are ok, but the operator error ones make me think maybe some people should quit their day job, as they would be far safer in a MacDonald's asking if one prefers medium or large fries.
