Many years ago, I noticed a retired guy wearing portions of his uniform incorrectly. I casually asked a Salty old 1SG what he thought about it. His words stick with me to this day..

"He doesn't mean disrespect. He did his time. Can you cut an old man a break?" (or something along those lines)

I agree 110% that if someone is a poser, he/she should be ripped a new one. But an Old Timer that just wants to show pride in their achievements should be cut some slack. Fuck the fine print of Regs. If an old man wants to wear his ribbons on his Golf Shirt, so be it.

Thanks SP5 Mark Kuzinski for sharing some humor about military uniforms.
Next year I hope to get a new set of Army blues since all my earlier uniforms were lost as we were evicted.
