I wish they'd stop conflating illegal aliens with immigrants and legitimate refugees. Whenever I see anyone, any party, "bending" the rules for some political or ideological purpose, I am put in mind of the play "A Man For All Seasons". When Sir Thomas Moore is encouraged by his family to jail the man who is about to betray him regardless of the fact that he hasn't broken any law, he refuses out of principle. "If you cut down all the laws like trees in pursuit of the Devil, what will protect you when the Devil turns round about?" And that's where we are today. They (the Democrats and their shills in the media) portray President Trump as the Devil to justify any and all actions, even those in violation of the law. They have abandoned all principles, not to save the nation, but rather to elevate themselves to power.
