The Shia versus Sunni rift is over a millennia old and has caused tens of millions of deaths over the centuries SFC Joe S. Davis Jr., MSM, DSL.
We most likely have IS sleeper cells in this nation as well and they have plagued Europe over the past year and I expect they will strike over the next few years as well in accordance with ISIS pre-arranged instructions.
The closest the world has seen to the animosity between Shia and Sunni was the Tutu versus Hutu slaughter of neighbors in Rwanda. In 1991 when I was working on what would eventually be Operation Desert Storm I studied the Iran - Iraq war which pitted the Shia of Iran against the Sunni of Iraq. The bitterness of that slaughter was exacerbated by the fact that Shia lived in Iraq as well.
Our nation has never experienced anything close to the level of hatred which exists between the followers of the Shia and Sunni branches of Islam. The closest we had was the US Civil War when neighbor and brother fought against neighbor and brother. However a generation after the war much of the interpersonal relationships had been restored.

This should be no surprise ...
Expect the Un expected... Rule #1
The bastards don't have to report to Congress and BHO,
They Can fight any way they want... and will ...
They'll use every dirty trick in the Books...

Sectarian violence and strife is like racism in America, it can be easily stoked either way

I can understand why there is so much distrust. I do hope the people come together for a common goal. They seem to be understanding that they all fail if they continue to go against each other. It's time to compromise and work together.
