My Engineer unit supported Iowa and Nebraska National Guard Infantry units, I was out there three or four times a year in the winter for several years. I think they are so used to it they just go about their business. I landed in Lincoln on evening about 9 local time and between then and noon the next day, they had 2' of snow fall. The roads and parking areas were always passable and it was just business as usual. 2' of snow here and the National Guard would have been called out.
