- Some thoughts: If your stock fund is in the red, you will lose money if you sell. Ride it out as the market will go up again.
- Picking market swings are almost impossible to predict. However, I do think the market will go down further with the advent of more bad news in regards to Coronavirus.
- I have always said if you are a couple years out from retirement to move your investment to safer investments.

- If your stock fund is growing by 7% and the S&P 500 growth rate is 12%, your fund is a dog.
- You will get a tax break by investing in your retirement account. Let's say you are in the 25% tax bracket and you invest $10,000 for the year. You will not pay taxes on the $10,000 and will save $2,500 in taxes. So, we have two courses of action:
COA1 Pay Tax = $2500 Spend = $7500
COA2 Pay Tax = 0 Invest = $10,000
