Thanks for letting us know Maj Marty Hogan that December 22 is the anniversary of the birth of First Lady of the United States Claudia Alta "Lady Bird" Johnson who was the wife of the 36th President of the United States, Lyndon B. Johnson.
It was a dividing time in the USA when she was First Lady but she was a gracious hostess.
Rest in peace Lady Bird Johnson!

Helped clear up the highways of billboard clutter and for those of us that remember billboards every few yards that was a good thing.

Maj Marty Hogan, one of the results of the Highway Beautification Act was that all the junkyards that were visible from the road were fenced so that the "junk" could no longer be seen. From what I remember, this was accomplished most generally with chain link fence with opaque inserts. The photo provided is fairly representative, but the inserts I remember were usually white.
