Crime is bad in Canada. Murders get out in 7-10 years. Trudeau changed laws so those criminals are protected from public awareness by PM Trudeau on purpose.
On the flip side, a Canadian who executed 2 American Indians in the 1980s has served time. He is still on Death Row.
Canada did its last hanging in 1960 or so.
