TMM. That call sign sure covers a lot. I read a couple biographies on MSG Roy P. Benavidez. This story barely covers it! Although they mentioned all the men that lived it took the one fellow American that didn't know Roy had lived to make the sworn witness statement in order to make exception to the two eye witness rule. Thanks again for sharing SFC Joe S. Davis Jr.

Thanks for honoring US Army Special Forces MSG Roy P Benavidez who was awarded the Congressional Medal of Honor for his actions in Vietnam SFC Joe S. Davis Jr., MSM, DSL
His courage on the battlefields of Vietnam is legendary. What the Social Security Administration did in 1983 a mere two years after the current President Ronald Reagan presented the Medal of Honor to him in 1983 is despicable.
Somebody at the SSA apparently decided cutting benefits for veterans and disabled made sense in their twisted minds.
In "1983, Benavidez told the press that the Social Security Administration planned to cut off disability payments he had been receiving since his retirement, as well as the disability payments for thousands of other veterans. He went to Capitol Hill and pleaded with the House Select Committee on Aging to abandon their plans, which they finally did."
Kudos to Green Beret MSG Roy Benavidez!
