That is interesting SGT Damaso V Santana that the US Navy analysis of a USMC marines case would draw attention to Afghan ‘sex slaves.’ The implication is that without the case less attention would be drawn to Afghan ‘sex slaves.’
It seems that political correctness has infected the Navy's view of crime. Sex slaves are abhorrent to most Americans but seems to a common practice in Afghan circles.
The fact that "Maj. Jason C. Brezler had been asked by Marine colleagues to submit all the information he had about an influential Afghan police chief suspected of abusing children. Brezler sent a classified document in response over an unclassified Yahoo email server, and he self-reported the mistake soon after. But the Marine Corps recommended that he be discharged for mishandling classified material."
For the US Navy it seems information about sex slaves by supposed allies is classified information.

That's exactly the point. They are trying to minimize attention on the scandal.

Maj. Brezler's case typifies one great fault of American jurisprudence: complete inequality of punishment with high government officials being given a free get out of jail card.

I think he has a case. Not because Sec. Clinton wasn't charged, but because he reported the mistake himself. At worst a letter of reprimand. I don't think he deserves to be put out.

I Concur, if not mistaken there have been several cases in Iraq and Afghanistan about young boys being abused.
