I started with the Colt 1911A1, eventually went to the S&W Mod 19 and back to the Colt, where I am most satisfied.

I am a big M1911 fan but after I went to Glock armorer course at the Glock facility in 1986-87 or so I bought my first Glock. I am outside a lot so my handgun gets beat up a lot plus exposed to all types of weather. Plastic is good for some things ! If I am not working outside I often carry a M1911.

PO1 H Gene Lawrence - That diamond grip one was my comp shooter back in the day, and won some events. Now it's converted into a carry shooter, I had to have the sight dovetails cut, and I just hack sawed the threaded barrel, then crowning it. Lol

CW5 Jack Cardwell - I love my G-17 Gen-4 too, changed to a Wilson barrel, changed the trigger, put on night sights, good when I'm outside during the nights. A very good, fun shooter and the feel is very good.

If you have dogs, keep your Glocks up and away from them. LOL
