PO1 William "Chip" Nagel
Lt Col Charlie Brown - I Know Several of Our Comrades here that were stationed there. I'm Trying to Remember the F-111 Pilot on this Forum that did a Tour There.

PO1 William "Chip" Nagel Wasn't me, never been there. Best friend flew F-111s out of Upper Heyford and I've flown with several who were stationed at Lakenheath.

Interesting, studied all these incidents during my time as a SAC crewmember. None of these were as serious as they may seem due to the safeguards built into the weapons. Have hands on experience with the B-28, that video refers to as the MK-28 and would never worry about them in these types of accidents. Way more serious incidents involving B-28 have occurred with no detonations due to all the internal safeguards associated with this weapon.

Lt Col John (Jack) Christensen - We had to know the historic events as a learning tool as well. I was the shop nuke surety guy as well so I administered the tests and updated the wing with our status. PRP was a total pain.

TSgt David L. Did a stint as Nuclear Surety Officer as well. That's how the maintainers got ahold of me, sent me through weapons maintenance school and rewarded me with a remote to Turkey.

Lt Col John (Jack) Christensen - That had to have been interesting. Never made it to Turkey.
