Thanks for letting us know that SFC Joe S. Davis Jr., MSM, DSL
1. former Army doctor Rep. Phil Roe, R-Tenn will lead the House Veterans’ Affairs Committee next session. Having a medical doctor leading the House committee which has oversight over the VA seems like a great idea.
2. the Congressional leadership of the Senate and House Veterans’ Affairs Committees are largely being replaced through election defeat [Rep. Corrine Brown, D-Fla.,], retirement [Rep. Jeff Miller. R-Fla], or replacement [Sen. Jon Tester, D-Mon]
3. The VA has had significant problems during the Obama administration and the tenure of the current Veteran's Affairs committee's leadership. I expect problems existed before that but I am only been familiar with the VA for the past 8 years.
I hope that significant progress in the claims, appeals and treatment of veterans will be achieved by the incoming administration and Congress.
