*Safety First* for sure! The best *mental* first aid manual I’ve come across = Joe Hyams’ Zen in the MA. Can be read in an afternoon and I’ve gifted it to many. Substitute the words *a dojo* with any workplace (or situation) and that excerpt as well as the rest of book adds excellent *self care* to almost any life situation that one might face both in or out of uniform.

Looks interesting. We are planning a trip when I should have some time to read. I believe I will order this today. Thanks.

Just ordered it! along with American Marxism, that I've been wanting to read for some time. I hope I have enough time for both on our trip, but if not I will finish it at home in between everyday work. I will read Zen first. Thank you.

Riding in tanks and helicopters has driven much of the risk out of my life.
