Thanks SFC Joe S. Davis Jr., MSM, DSL for letting us know that the Army is developing Flame-resistant, Breathable, and Moisture wicking combat uniforms. FYI years ago I worked with Army G-4 and PEO Soldier on clothing and OCIE issues when I supported the Clothing and Textiles division in Army G-4. Many of theses same goals were present in the early 21st century.

I've always thought it was a shame that the military went away from the use of wools. Ive bought quite a bit of wool military surplus, and it's served me quite well. I do wonder how this textile will hold up in real life.

SSgt (Join to see) wool works wonder for socks especially for the ruck marches and patrols the fox river socks I love those.
