Speaking the truth in love is noble and yet challenging. LORD I pray for each of YOUR adopted sons and daughters who reads this prayer or hears it, is blessed with an increase in truthfulness, compassion, and grace. Empower us to speak and write the truth in love with deference to share without deliberate or accidental insult. I pray that each one of us is growing in grace and wisdom. We understand that ‘the fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom.’ [Proverbs 9:10] I pray that we increasingly place our trust in YOU as we make our way through these challenging times. I am grateful that YOU guide us day by day and lead us towards the wonders YOU have in store for each of us. ‘Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. I pray for safety, repentance, forgiveness and a resurgence of peace in homes where strife increases during the holidays. I pray that parents who abused children and children who abused parents genuinely confess and repent and seek forgiveness from those they abused.
I pray for courage for citizens of this and other nations were radicals and anarchistic socialists are threatening the integrity of families and faith in God as foundations of society. Give each of us endurance and confidence in YOU. Give us courage in the face of risk of physical death for our hope is in YOU. 'Have no fear of them, nor be troubled, but in your hearts honor Christ the Lord as holy, always being prepared to make a defense to anyone who asks you for a reason for the hope that is in you.'
