LORD I pray that each of YOUR adopted sons and daughters who reads this prayer or hears it with clarity of focus on what our priority of effort, talents and resources needs to be. I pray that YOU enable us to see clearly and hear clearly what YOU know we should do – day-by-day and hour-by-hour. For most of us improving personal relationships is near the top if not the most important for each of us. ‘Do nothing from selfish ambition or conceit, but in humility count others more significant than yourselves. Let each of you look not only to his own interests, but also to the interests of others. [Philippians 2:3-4 ESV]
LORD, I thank YOU for pro-life executives, legislators and judges as well as intercessors and pro-life counselors. I pray that YOU bless those who support life from before birth throughout life and through death with endurances, grace and discernment. 'For you formed my inward parts; you knitted me together in my mother's womb. I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made.' [Psalm 13913-14a ESV]
I pray for the peacemakers in every nation, town and family – especially those facing severe resistance to efforts to bring peace as radical progressives are doing their utmost to bring strife throughout this culture – critical race theory, defund police, and support radical socialism. I pray that YOU bless each peacemaker with endurance and grace. I pray that YOU restrain those focused on disrupting and withholding peace on earth as well as the spirit realm. ‘Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called sons of God. “Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness’ sake, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. “Blessed are you when others revile you and persecute you and utter all kinds of evil against you falsely on my account. 'If you really fulfill the royal law according to the Scripture, 'You shall love your neighbor as yourself,' you are doing well.' [James 2:8 ESV] and 'Religion that is pure and undefiled before God, the Father, is this to visit orphans and widows in their affliction, and to keep oneself unstained from the world.' [James 1:27 ESV]
LORD I pray for sufficient self-control, patience, and stamina for each of YOUR adopted sons and daughters to persevere through the challenges we will face through the summer and autumn. I am thankful that YOU are strengthening the character and fortitude of each of us as YOU prepare us. ‘For this very reason, make every effort to supplement your faith with virtue, and virtue with knowledge, and knowledge with self-control, and self-control with steadfastness, and steadfastness with godliness, and godliness with brotherly affection, and brotherly affection with love.
