Good morning COL Mikel J. Burroughs I am a great believer in meditation. I have a practice of gratitude that includes meditation. One of the things you learn is that all the things that tend to get us worked up are temporary. The good things are to be enjoyed, they don't last; the bad times are to be endured, they don't last. We are like the sky, we are here and what happens to us is like the weather; it constantly changes. Do you have a meditation practice? Where in your life would a meditation practice be helpful to you?

Not to impose,but you would probably enjoy reading about our "Earthquake Lake"(formed by an earthquake winter of 1811-1812) here in Tennessee.You can type Earthquake Lake into the search bar and see beautiful photographs of our lake.It looks like it belongs in Louisiana with all the Cypress,lillies and saw grass. Reelfoot Lake is the actual name.
