Good morning COL Mikel J. Burroughs on this new day. So often we drag baggage from yesterday or many yesterdays forward with us so that we are unable to see the beauty and potential of the new day. It's hard not to do that especially if you feel you have "unfinished business" but take a few moments at least to be grateful for the sunrise (behind the clouds or not, it's there) and the opportunity to do some good work. Say thanks, and make a plan to do good. Then if you need to review you can do so from a better place.
What can you do to help yourself appreciate the opportunity that is before you?

Even people who insist on hauling a lot of baggage have to occasionally stop and rest. Why not enjoy the view while resting?

Lt Col Charlie Brown - Just have that positive mental attitude that so many of us wake up with even if there isn't a beautiful sunrise - rmember the sun is rising somewhere in the world at 0 Dark Thirty in the morning. There are a lot of great words of wisdom shared this morning Charlie. Great quote you shared as well above for the topic of a new day, a new sunrise, and new possibilities. May that come true for yo and Tom today!

I pray that you stand strong in faith in Christ as you demonstrate love to those who love you, my friend and sister-in-Christ Lt Col Charlie Brown.
Heavenly Father, YOU have blessed this earth we call home with the sun to warm us during the day and the moon to reflect the light of the sun to varying degrees during the monthly cycles. The sun is an imperfect reflection of YOUR perfect love for us clearly demonstrated by the atonement of the eternal Son of God on the Cross.
I pray that YOU give us each the strength to endure this winter and to grow in love, compassion, and wisdom by YOUR grace.
Pour out grace, a strong sense of YOU love and HOPE needed to each one struggling to: survive after the death of loved one; resist the seemingly overwhelming urge to commit suicide; work day-by-day in challenging circumstances; and selflessly love day-by-day in marriage and parenting challenges.
By the power and authority of the Name above all names, Jesus the Christ.
