This man was filled with such simple Truisms.
Sadly, I find that so very many people today try to avoid being who they are meant to be. They don't want to accept who they are, what they are, as only they can be.
I have to keep reminding my grandchildren that all I want for them is to be happy in their life; and, that I want them to be all they can be in that life. They may not be accepted by everybody they come across and they need to accept that.

TSgt David Whitmore so very true. I can only be me and you can only be you. The real problem today is that people in today's world have a difficult time understanding that simple truth. They want you and me to think and act like them.

Good thoughts for today. Until you accept who you are you are hiding behind a mask. That means that no one knows you and that is a very lonely place to be. If you are having trouble connecting with others, it is time to see if you are putting the "real you" out there in your efforts. What can you do to be more honest with yourself and in your relationships?

Good point Ma‘am! Sometimes it’s difficult to put yourself fully out there though because you don’t want people to feel sorry for you, or you don’t want to ask for help. I’ve seen it a lot and have been guilty of it too where only my closest friends know of what’s going on.
