Good Sunday morning COL Mikel J. Burroughs from the MetroWest area of Greater Boston... Currently it is 54° heading up to only 68° today... "Overcoming Obstacles", outstanding topic, Mikel... Having slept in after a late night, I will return to complete my quote response... And I have returned as stated Mike!

My Quote:
"What I have learned in life from formal education and life experience is that people fail to think beyond a few seconds on what to do when an obstacle presents itself... Life experience has taught me to tackle an obstacle head on, but formal education, particularly in higher level mathematics and science has taught me that there are many solutions to an obstacle or challenge... Pick one, try it, if it doesn't work, try the next one... You will find that if you think about it, most obstacles can be solved on the first try."
Kerry F. Harkins May 17, 2020

A. "Do not build up obstacles in your imagination." - Norman Vincent Peale

B. "A hero is an ordinary individual who finds the strength to persevere and endure in spite of overwhelming obstacles." - Christopher Reeve

C. "Obstacles are necessary for success because in selling, as in all careers of importance, victory comes only after many struggles and countless defeats." - Og Mandino

D. "With everything that has happened to you, you can either feel sorry for yourself or treat what has happened as a gift. Everything is either an opportunity to grow or an obstacle to keep you from growing. You get to choose." - Wayne Dyer

Never forget that...

“One of many ways to overcome obstacles in leadership is having an open line of communication, face-to-face with those you lead!” — COL (Ret) Mikel Burroughs

Sgt (Join to see) - Thanks for the quotes you shared today and your personal quote brother. "May the obstacles you face today reinforce the foundation on which you’ve learned to live life with a positive outlook, may you fill in the potholes in the road as you move along this journey in life. May there be a lesson to be learned. If you get a few scratches and bruises along the way rub a little dirt on them and keep moving. Please stay resilient and positive during these adverse times, and keep yourself and your family strong, safe, and Healthy." COL (Ret) Mikel Burroughs

I expect that you endured many challenging periods in your life, and you are grateful that you have overcome a number of obstacles by God’s grace. I expect that doors have been shut which dashed hopes and then a previously unseen door opened that resulted in a blessing for you Kerry.
I pray that you and I are assisting others as best we can to deal with obstacles in their lives. I pray we each seek God’s guidance to assist them, my brother-in-Christ Sgt (Join to see).

I pray that each of YOUR adopted sons and daughters are becoming more selfless and outwardly focused. Guide each one of us in YOUR perfect timing to do what we can to assist our family members, neighbors, and communities. I pray for an increase of the fruit of the Spirit; goodness and faithfulness in each of us.
I lift each with eyesight, hearing, mobility, and similar disabilities to YOU dear LORD. I pray that YOU motivate others to help as best we can those in need of assistance with our time, talents, and resources.
I lift the medical and pharmaceutical researchers to YOU dear LORD. I pray that YOU are guiding and leading them over and around manmade obstacles and physical challenges to developing effective treatment and safe and effective vaccines. I pray that YOU bless them with wisdom and knowledge to develop successful vaccination processes and treatment before winter 2020 we will be able to vaccinate people against COVID-19.
I thank YOU LORD for YOUR Word as YOU remind us that YOU are in control of our life and YOU open and close doors for our ultimate good “And to the angel of the church in Philadelphia write: ‘The words of the holy one, the true one, who has the key of David, who opens and no one will shut, who shuts and no one opens. “‘I know your works. Behold, I have set before you an open door, which no one is able to shut. I know that you have but little power, and yet you have kept my word and have not denied my name.' [Revelation 3:7-8 English Standard Version]"
I pray that each one of YOUR adopted children and their loved ones sleep well Sunday night.
By the power and authority of the Name above all names, Jesus the Christ.
