Going the extra mile reminds me of Jesus statement, when a Roman legionnaire requested somebody to carry his load for the statuary one mile, He admonished his disciples to offer to carry it for two miles.

I pray that YOU motivate individuals to bless those on the front lines of SARS-Cov-2 and Federal, State, and local police and agents across this nation. I lift the Federal agents, federal Justice Department attorneys, and state counterparts in Operation Legend to YOU. I pray YOU bless them with wisdom and endurance to help the localities curb the violence by interdicting gangs, weapons and explosives and other criminal activities. I pray that convictions in Federal Court will help restore calm to the affected cities.
I thank you for the state police and local police in Portland and Seattle and other areas where Marxist BLM and anarchist Antifa are fomenting violence. They routinely go the extra mile to serve and protect. I pray that YOU convict the local and state officials and give them an opportunity to repent for their opposition to the police, law, and order. I pray that YOU sift the government officials responsible and discard the chaff by the next election.
I pray that YOUR love is shining through each of us and drawing others to YOU across this nation, as well as UK, France, Germany, Israel, Jordan, Syria, Greece, Turkey, Canada, Mexico, India, and Australia. Going the extra mile can be taken as putting in the extra effort to ensure a job is well done or it is walking the extra mile in someone's shoes to gain the insight of their thoughts and feelings. However you take the expression, it is a good thing to apply in all situations of life.
