Good morning Col Burroughs. Knowing yourself is critical to getting what you want in your life.
I find it interesting that clients are often so much better at saying what they don't want than what they do. When we start to explore that, what I get is a lot of "I never thought about that" or "I never asked myself that question" If you are not happy with what you have in your life or the way things are going, ask yourself what it is that you really want and how you are willing to make it happen. If you can't answer those, it is because you don't know yourself as well as you think you do.

Lt Col Charlie Brown - Great perspective this mornig about aksing yourself what you really want because so many people lack knowing who they really are and where they're headed Charlie. Thanks for thre additional quotes and let me leave you with my final thought for today's quotes:
"May you as an individual and a leader know your objectives and the mission you want to accomplish in life; knowing is knowledge and power. May you always have a positive attitude toward life and know your own wisdom; may you always be is the best of health and know the way to keep your health in tip top condition; and keep your family safe, secure, happy, and health as well. Be willing to share your knowledge, know the direction you're headed in, do what needs to be done, and execute your plans accordingly! Being is what it's all about. Have a great Thursday!" — COL (Ret) Mikel Burroughs

I expect that you have learned much over your lifetime and that your knowledge has expanded significantly. Hopefully, you and I are both willing and able to share our knowledge with others [subject to debriefing limitations]. I expect you are aware that the Holy Spirit is storing the Word of God in your soul [as well as mine] each time we read or listen to the Word being spoken. The Holy Spirit IS our comforter, protector, and unlimited source of knowledge and wisdom. HE desires to set us free from deception. 'Then you know the Truth and the Truth will set you free' [John 8-32], my sister-in-Christ Lt Col Charlie Brown.
I pray that each one of us who is going through periods of testing and trials is blessed with an increase of hope and joy by YOU LORD. I know that YOU prepare each of us for the next trial we will go through as YOU mature each of us in the faith and build trust in YOU. 'Count it all joy, my brothers, when you meet trials of various kinds, for you know that the testing of your faith produces steadfastness. And let steadfastness have its full effect, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing.’ [James 1:2-4 ESV]
I pray that adopted son and daughter of the LORD who reads this prayer is blessed with wisdom and discernment and that we 'make every effort to supplement [our] faith with virtue, and virtue with knowledge, and knowledge with self-control, and self-control with steadfastness, and steadfastness with godliness, and godliness with brotherly affection, and brotherly affection with love. For if these qualities are yours and are increasing, they keep you from being ineffective or unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.' [2 Peter 1:5-8 ESV]
I lift the school age children to YOU LORD. I pray that each school child has a strong desire to learn, gain knowledge, and application of that knowledge which will bless them over their lifetime.
I pray that parents and teachers do their best to impart knowledge and how to learn to each school child. LORD make it clear to each parent how each child learns best. YOU designed each child and YOU know how they learn best. Open the eyes of each parent to observe how their child learns best.
I pray that you and your family members sleep well Thursday night and will awake healthy on Friday morning.
By the power and authority of the Name above all names, Jesus the Christ.

Good “Thursday” Morning “Burroughs’ Posse Leader” from the still overcast skies of the Greater Boston area, where our temp is a balmy 76° with 86% humidity and winds W 5 mph... Must be from the remnants of Hurricane Laura... LOL! “Knowing Day!” Why Not?
My Quote:
"It is not so much what you know, but how you act on what you know that makes you a value to humanity." Kerry F. Harkins September 3, 2020
1) "The only true wisdom is in knowing you know nothing." - Socrates
2) "Life is about not knowing, having to change, taking the moment and making the best of it, without knowing what's going to happen next." - Gilda Radner
3) "I have been impressed with the urgency of doing. Knowing is not enough; we must apply. Being willing is not enough; we must do." - Leonardo da Vinci
4) "The squirrel hoards nuts and the bee gathers honey, without knowing what they do, and they are thus provided for without selfishness or disgrace." - Ralph Waldo Emerson
5) "It's not the honors and the prizes and the fancy outsides of life which ultimately nourish our souls. It's the knowing that we can be trusted, that we never have to fear the truth, that the bedrock of our very being is good stuff." - Fred Rogers
6) "I learned to put my trust in God and to see Him as my strength. Long ago I set my mind to be a free person and not to give in to fear. I always felt that it was my right to defend myself if I could. I have learned over the years that when one's mind is made up, this diminishes fear; knowing what must be done does away with fear." - Rosa Parks
and so my Brothers and Sisters...
“Leading is knowing what you want to accomplish and planning for the execution!”— COL (Ret) Mikel Burroughs
