You've never sat through an ISO9001 meeting. They are boring enough to induce PTSD. They are the only thing that I don't miss about working. NASA required my employer to implement that so called QA system. All it does is guarantee more, but well structured paperwork. I rewrote a lot of test procedures to keep from filing a 40 page document with 95% of the tests marked N/A. I created new datasheets for every custom version, which were less than a page, each.

Good morning Col Burroughs. Having some difficulty finding quotes I wanted this morning.
I too believe in leadership by MBWO (we called it management by walking around) and I actually got a citation in an IG report as "her footprints were all over her squadron and it showed in their outstanding performance" I was prouder of that than of most of the awards I have received. People respond to the time you spend with them. The same applies to our family and our pets. They all do better for the infusion of time and positive attention. And don't forget about some time spent in conversation with God. That too is time well spent.

I expect that you have learned to invest your time and energy in many noble and worthwhile activities. Hopefully your relations with those you love and who love you has improved and will continue to blossom and bear abiding fruit for time and eternity. Hopefully your relationship with the LORD is prospering as you spend time praising & thanking HIM and seeking HIS wisdom. ‘I pray that all may go well with you and that you may be in good health, as it goes well with your soul. For I rejoiced greatly when the brothers came and testified to your truth, as indeed you are walking in the truth.’ [3 John 1:2-3 ESV] my sister-in-Christ Lt Col Charlie Brown.

LORD I pray for each adopted son and daughter of YOURS that YOU bless us with eyes to see, ears to hear and a heart sensitive to YOU in these challenging times where evil appears to be flourishing in many areas of this world including the USA, Mexico, Canada, UK, France, Germany, Iran, India, China, Korea, Japan, Philippines and Australia. Empower each of us to walk wisely and give us grace to interact with those we meet and let YOUR love and light shine through us. 'Look carefully then how you walk, not as unwise but as wise, making the best use of the time, because the days are evil. Therefore, do not be foolish, but understand what the will of the Lord is.' [Ephesians 5:15-17 ESV]
I pray for the peace of Jerusalem and the area around it in Israel, the west bank, Jordan, Lebanon and Syria. I am thankful for the efforts of President Donald Trump’s administration to build lasting peace among the Arab states with Israel – UAE, Bahrain, Algeria and Morocco. I pray that Saudi Arabia will establish lasting peace with Israel this month. ‘Pray for the peace of Jerusalem! “May they be secure who love you! Peace be within your walls and security within your towers!” For my brothers and companions’ sake I will say, “Peace be within you!” For the sake of the house of the LORD our God, I will seek your good. [Psalm 122:6-9 ESV]
I lift up state legislatures and the US Congress to YOU dear LORD. I pray for an increase in honest and forthright communication across the aisles. Do what it takes in the lives of the legislators to cause them to negotiate in good faith. I pray for an increase of good will in these legislative bodies and with the executives and state and Federal level. ‘Daniel answered and said: “Blessed be the name of God forever and ever, to whom belong wisdom and might. He changes times and seasons; he removes kings and sets up kings; he gives wisdom to the wise and knowledge to those who have understanding; he reveals deep and hidden things; he knows what is in the darkness, and the light dwells with him [Daniel 2:20-22 ESV]
I pray that you and your family members sleep well Saturday night and will awake refreshed and healthy on Sunday morning.
By the power and authority of the Name above all names, Jesus the Christ.

Good Saturday morning Burroughs' Posse Leader... More to follow... Apologies for the Brevity this morning, but I had just awoken and a bit groggy! LOL! It is a nasty morning, weather-wise, in the Boston Area as a storm front is coming through with rain forecast for the day and into the evening, with New England fog following... Currently 39° with 97% Humidity and wind NNE 4 mph...

“Time Well Spent Day!” Why Not?

MY PERSONAL QUOTE:
"Time well spent is not always "Busy Work", but getting to know what is real and important and what is not... If one chooses to do something that provides value to him/her, then that time is not wasted." - Kerry F. Harkins December 12, 2020

1) "A well-spent day brings happy sleep." - Leonardo da Vinci

2) "If you want your children to turn out well, spend twice as much time with them, and half as much money." - Abigail Van Buren

3) "Time well spent is any time that brought you fulfillment, comfort and satisfaction and energized you to get back on your life goals with more enthusiasm and drive." - Surya Batra

4) "At the end of your life, you will never regret not having passed one more test, not winning one more verdict or not closing one more deal. You will regret time not spent with a husband, a friend, a child, or a parent." - Barbara Bush

5) "Time spent with children is time well spent. Their little minds are not constrained by 'reality' or focused upon goals. Anything and everything is possible. Imagination will often carry us to worlds that never were. But without it we go nowhere." - Carl Sagan

Time can be valued or wasted, but it is those who value time are successful, and know that...

“Effective and proficient leaders value time and resources, so their time is well spent, not stuck in meetings all day, but rather out and about sampling progress and the culture of the organization or team. MBWO (Management by Wondering Around)!” — COL (Ret) Mikel Burroughs

Sgt (Join to see) - Great personal quote and thanks for the additional quotes brother... Have a great evening brother...

“Time well spent, or a day well spent can be very different for many people. It could be time well spent with your family, friends, on a project, enjoying life, or some special time well spent on activities. Whatever time well spent means to you, make the most of it and make new memories. For leaders time well spent is making sure they maximize on the activities and events that will make a difference in their organizations and teams; may you have a great day and spend time well this weekend; may you have that positive outlook to make the most of your well spent time; may your mind, body, and soul be opened to grace, goodness, peace, forgiveness, and a bountiful life of purpose; and keep your family safe, secure, happy, and healthy during these uncertain times. Ask yourself, ‘Is our time well spent?’ Enjoy the weekend everyone! — COL (Ret) Mikel Burroughs
