Good “Wednesday & Hump Day” Morning “Burroughs’ Posse Leader from the wispy clouds of Greater Boston as we prepare for a huge Late Fall snow storm where it is forecast that we will get from between 12" and 18" of the heavy wet snow... The storm will be skirting just off the coast of Long Island and Cape Cod, so area on Land is going to get pummeled... Should be fun! NOT!!!
Today is: “Quiet Time Day!” Why Not?
1) "Some of the most powerful times are when we're quiet." - Michael W. Smith
2) "Down time is where we become ourselves... a hiatus that passes for boredom but is really the quiet moving of the wheels inside that fuel creativity." - Anna Quindlen
3) "People who take the time to be alone usually have depth, originality, and quiet reserve." - John Miller
4) "Can you be alone without being lonely? Can you spend time by yourself without craving noise or company of other people? Have you discovered the glory of quiet time spent alone, time spent listening to your soul? Solitude brings with it gifts that come from nowhere else." - Steve Goodier
When one is responsible for others, it takes time to put things in order and that's why...
“Leaders can enhance their performance by exercising, getting enough sleep, and prioritizing their quiet time!” — COL (Ret) Mikel Burroughs

Poor Miserable me save me oh Lord
I expect you appreciate relaxing and spending quiet time with those you love including your family and friends and perhaps pets. Hopefully you reflect on the good times with your family and meditate on fulfilled scripture by God’s grace in your lifetime. ‘But we urge you, brothers, to do this more and more, and to aspire to live quietly, and to mind your own affairs, and to work with your hands, as we instructed you, so that you may walk properly before outsiders and be dependent on no one.' [1 Thessalonians 4:10b-12 ESV] my brother-in-Christ Sgt (Join to see)
I pray that each leader, manager, and parent enable those we lead/children to enhance their performance by exercising, getting enough sleep, praising and thanking God and prioritizing our quiet time. Hopefully we are blessed with humility and have peace in these turbulent times. ‘Humble yourselves, therefore, under the mighty hand of God so that at the proper time he may exalt you, casting all your anxieties on him, because he cares for you.' [1 Peter 5: 6-7 ESV]
I pray that each one of YOUR adopted sons and daughters are wise enough make the best use of our time in these challenging times, especially. I am grateful that YOU guide us each one of every day on the path YOU lead us. 'Look carefully then how you walk, not as unwise but as wise, making the best use of the time, because the days are evil. Therefore, do not be foolish, but understand what the will of the LORD is.' [Ephesians 5:15-17]
I pray for wisdom and honesty for the Federal and State legislators as they negotiate legislation and priorities. For those legislators who are overly proud, I pray that YOU humble each one, dear LORD. 'Humble yourselves, therefore, under the mighty hand of God so that at the proper time he may exalt you, casting all your anxieties on him, because he cares for you.' [Hebrews 4:16 ESV]
I pray that each family of adopted sons and daughters of YOURS confesses to YOU and repents and seeks and offers forgiveness freely during this advent season. 'Repent therefore, and turn back, that your sins may be blotted out, that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord, and that he may send the Christ appointed for you, Jesus, whom' [Acts 3:19-21 ESV]
I pray that you and each member of your family are healthy.
By the power and authority of the Name above all names, Jesus the Christ.

Great quotes for today Maj Robert Thornton - thanks brother and enjoy this day my friend...
“It‘s so important to carve out some quiet time in your daily routine, in order to allow your mind, body, and soul an opportunity to relax, reflect, and recharge. So much can be accomplished during quiet time and it allows you to clear your mind of all the craziness and let your troubles subside for a moment. May you find that special place and time for quietness today and in the future; may you always think positive thoughts during that quiet time to reflect on all of your blessings that you’re thankful for; may your mind, body, and soul be opened to grace, goodness, peace, forgiveness, and a bountiful life of purpose; and keep your family safe, secure, happy, and healthy during these uncertain times. In a noisy world, quiet time is a solution.” — COL (Ret) Mikel Burroughs
