Ever since Henry VIII broke away from the Roman Catholic Church to divorce and remarry there were papal attacks and conspiracies in England. The Anglican Church which was started under Henry VIII was very similar to Roman Catholicism in style.

I stopped being Catholic thanks to the war between Catholics and Protestant in Ireland back in the 1970's, more so because as a kid I was taught that Jews killed Jesus and it was okey to throw rocks at the Jews that visited the small town where I grew up.
