The Natural Evolution of Language Is Not ‘Cultural Appropriation’ | National Review

The whole concept of "cultural appropriation" or "misappropriation" as it is sometimes stated is ludicrous, in my opinion. Cultures tend to assimilate aspects of other cultures any time they come into contact with each other. To assume otherwise is asinine. Whether one culture is dominant or not is really irrelevant. Cultures change, sometimes for the better, sometimes for the worse based on influences from other cultures. The fact that most modern societies have adopted the practice of wearing pants can be traced to the 4th century practice of Celts which was copied by the Romans and introduced to the rest of Europe. This would be a classic case of cultural appropriation by today's moronic standards!
