Also We don't seem to have actual problem such as starvation that some places do. Granted some may not be able to eat the best of food due to budgets but aren't suffering usually either not to say there is no hunger, there is ! Much of that does however get addressed where its needed.

SMSgt Lawrence McCarter - part of the problem is that people no longer know how to cook. Rice, beans, vegetables...if it doesn't go into the microwave with a tear open package, they're clueless. If you take an average frozen meal and buy all the ingredients from scratch you can make at least twice as much food for the same money.

Lt Col Charlie Brown - True enough, most package meals often don't have enough food in them as it is, its not a good alternative to an actual cooked meal.

Lt Col Charlie Brown I have seen a study similar to this many years ago. It reasned that the US population on social programs can live comfortable in other countries as middle class. These reports are holding consistent.
