Thanks for sharing Maj Marty Hogan November 28 in History.
AS far as captions I nominate:
1. 1950: The “Red Witch” of Buchenwald. Ilse Koch was the wife of commandant of the Nazi concentration camps Buchenwald and Majdanek. She was accused of inhuman treatment of inmates, and was tried by the United States in 1947, for war crimes. On being asked to pose for a picture, here in 1950 she declared: “What’s all this for when the Americans Release war criminals from Landsberg Prison.”
2. 1938 - The 'Mad Sculptor' of New York goes to prison. Robert Irwin, who was sentenced to 139 years imprisonment for killing Veronica Gedeon and two others, handcuffed between two deputy sheriffs, and apparently in high spirits about the whole affair.

LTC Stephen F.
Maj Marty Hogan - over the centuries many people who were sentenced based on horrible crimes have been given sentences much longer that it is possible to live. This is so they would never have a possibility of being paroled.

LTC Stephen F. - I read that once and still makes me laugh. Would it not be easier to just state life without parole? Appreciate your feedback as always Col- I learn a bit more every day and thank you always for your posts and input. I will get back to responding on the Civil War posts- just have been busy.

...Yesterday your profile said you had six nice responses and today it says you have nine, so you are getting credit for them but it looks like not all of them. This is helpful information. Thanks!

SSG Carlos Madden - No yesterday I had 8- the other ones were from other posts. I just went over 10 today as well. I sent a list of links to only history shares over 10 just in Nov yesterday to show those as well. Those are only a portion of posts however. Appreciate your help on this.
