Why is this of importance to us as a Nation? Surely, we have other needs to take care in our urban inner cities! Do you agree or disagree?

Strategically, I'm surprised we haven't tried harder to acquire the island prior to now . I agree there are many things at home that need fixing.

SGT (Join to see) - We did, back in the '40s. Offered Denmark $100 million. They didn't bite, but they signed the treaty that led to the establishment of Thule Air Force Base.

Actually we tried back before WWII, during WWII and once during the cold war for strategic purpose, not sure with satellite technology and such it is that strategic now.
