Two soldiers charged in disappearance of missing Fort Campbell soldier

Two soldiers have been charged with premeditated murder and other crimes in the disappearance of Pfc. Shadow McClaine, the Army announced Tuesday.
Sgt. Jamal Williams-McCray and Spc. Charles Robinson face charges of premeditated murder, kidnapping and conspiracy, according to officials. The charges were preferred Nov. 18.
McClaine was last heard from when she texted her mother Sept. 2 to say she was driving, according to The Leaf Chronicle newspaper in Clarksville, Tennessee. She did not report for duty Sept. 6, and her family, friends and authorities have been looking for her since then without success. Her car was later discovered abandoned in a Nashville parking lot, the newspaper reported.
All three soldiers are assigned to the 101st Airborne Division at Fort Campbell, Kentucky. Williams-McCray is McClaine's ex-husband, according to The Leaf Chronicle.
On Oct. 26, officials said two men had been booked into the Montgomery County Jail, although the Army at the time did not say what they might be charged with or why they were being held. Officials at the time also said one of the suspects was being held on out-of-county warrants but they declined to publicly name the two men.
On Tuesday, the Army said Williams-McCray and Robinson are being held in pre-trial confinement pending a preliminary hearing.
Officials declined to release any additional information, citing the ongoing investigation and legal proceedings.

That is despicable that SGT Jamal Williams-McCray and SPC Charles Robinson may well have kidnapped and murdered PFC Shadow McClaine while they each were assigned to Fort Campbell SFC Joe S. Davis Jr., MSM, DSL
It is even more heartbreaking that SGT Jamal Williams-McCray had previously been married to PFC Shadow McClaine. I hope and pray for wisdom for those investigating this crime and that justice will prevail in a quick court proceeding.

Absolutely, SFC George Smith. There seems to be some internal strife that occurred after the divorce, and the problem is that people do not know how to let go. These two Soldiers (???) should have stayed away from her, and gone on to do other things. Instead, they are hemmed up in the county clink on these charges.

This story is so sad. It's amazing that she is still missing after 6 months. The family is still searching for her, the suspects are detained and still no answers. Unfortunately she is not the only SM who has gone missing lately, I believe that there are still two other SM's missing in El Paso, and I believe there was a Soldier that was missing and come to find out he had died in a car accident in a rural area. I know that it is a little difficult for the Army to do anything when it comes to Soldier's missing or going AWOL just bc for the simple fact that, it is unknown if they are truly missing or if they decided to go AWOL. I pray that the SM's missing are found. Do you think there is a better way to fix this system?
