Thanks for reminding us that in 1969 the U.S. Navy transfers 80 river-patrol boats to the South Vietnamese Navy in the largest single transfer of naval equipment since the war began SP5 Mark Kuzinski. Vietnamization involved all military services of Vietnam. Hopefully the advisers did a great job of training the Vietnamese riverine navy to conduct operations in the Mekong Delta and other areas where water-based transportation was the only way to get around.
