I recall at the time not being very worried about it. It would save American lives immediately, and long range effects are only a concern for survivors of the war.

It was not until much later that we realized the full effect of AO.

I lost one of my best friends to the effects of Agent Orange. It was something that we thought would be useful and valuable but in the end, it was very bad. But, who knew?
