He has to say that to try and survive beyond 2 years as he is in a Trump voter dominated district. He won't cross Democratic Party Lines and vote with the Republicans though if he is the only one. He will only do that if he has cover. If the Economy continues to improve and grow above 3%, Trump does well in the 2018 elections with Republican gains, and the independent counsel clears him I predict the wall of Democratic opposition will crumble. They have no other choice at that point and many of them will start voting on Republican issues out of fear losing their seats. Again this looks like a repeat of the 1980's playbook after Carter lost re-election. First year Reagan was a crazy cowboy actor that had to be closely supervised and never should have won. Dems really threw Carter under the bus after that election loss. Couple of items different now vs then. Reagan entered his first year with a Recession, also did not have as Negative Press though it was probably close to 50% Negative vs 90% Negative because enough news reporters were tired of Carter. Also, there wasn't a independent investigator his first year (though Congress repeatedly tried to assign one later and almost suceeded with Iran - Contra). Trump really has been more successful than Reagan in his first year only because Obama put most of his efforts into revokable Executive orders.........which Trump did not need Congress to tear up or reverse.

Don’t get excited, they do to DC with good intentions and once exposed to being treated like royalty, are co-opted by the system. Chuck will get him in line like the other drones quickly.
