Story is kinda like the new retirement system- they have to go to great lengths to advertise to you how great deal it is...but in the end it is a hot poker right in the eye. Overpaid my ass......

I had a married guy in my shop, first term and E3 living off base, no housing for first termers on base, He got a housing alotment but with 2 small kids I don't know how he made it. the year was 1971

Not sure in what world we are overpaid. We consistently make less than the civilian sector in almost every field.
