Thanks for sharing the testimony of USS Arizona survivor Lauren Bruner who was was getting ready for church on December 7, 1941 on board the battleship USS Arizona survivor when the Japanese began their sneak attack on the Pacific fleet at harbor in Pearl Harbor SFC Joe S. Davis Jr., MSM, DSL
By the grace of God he survived after bullets hit his left leg and explosions set off by the Sunday morning bombardment rocked his ship before he could get to the weapons. The ship sank just nine minutes later. Bruner escaped, but he suffered severe burns.
I am thankful that he survived to 9 and that planned to visit the memorial over the Arizona's sunken wreckage and attend a remembrance ceremony at Pearl Harbor on the 75th anniversary of teh attack where he lost so many friends.
