I remember the images of Vietnamese people trying to scale over the concertina wire wall outside the US embassy in 1975 and embassy military guards turning them away to their doom as the communists were closing in on Saigon.
I remember scenes of UH-1's ferrying people to the aircraft carrier and after they offloaded the helicopter was manually pushed into the South China Sea to make room for more airlifts.
I was a young PV2 at the time and stationed at Fort Campbell, Ky which had its fair share of helicopters since it was home base to the 101st Airmobile Division.
I hope that Glenn Dickenson locates the UH-1 Huey named "Shadow" and that he gets closure on his grief.
