What Impact Will Shulkin's Ouster Have on the VA?

I would say that topic did play a role in his dismissal. After hearing an interview where he talked about the sequence of events that day: 1) talked on phone with Trump who gave no mention of displeasure in his job performance or expectation of being fired; 2) receive a call from CoS Kelly moments later stating he was about to be fired; 3) followed by a tweet by Trump that he's replacing Shulkin.
If we are to believe his statements from the interview are true, it only raises more questions as to why Shulkin was fired. After all, as we watch EPA Sec. Pruitt get exposed for all the ethical violations he's alleged to have committed, it's hard to believe Shulking was dismissed for ethical violations on the job.

That is the million dollar question. I wondered that when things first unfolded.
