Good morning, Rallypoint. Today's Astronomy Picture of the Day (APOD) is titled "Noctilucent NEOWISE." Summertime noctilucent clouds over the French Alps aren't new. The Comet NEOWISE is, however. From the looks of today's image, it's been quite a show. My early morning skies have been rainouts this week. NEOWISE is still up at dawn and will be highest in the dawn sky around July 11. Then it will gradually approach the horizon each day. By mid July (around July 12-15), the comet will become visible at dusk (look northwest).
APOD: 2020 July 9 - Noctilucent NEOWISE
