I can’t help but feel a bit of pride at this story. Is that bad?

This situation was not a "unquenchable thirst" emergency brought on by a tsunami of US Soldiers and Marines, this was a supply crisis of biblical proportion by Iceland. Iceland can be over run by 7,000 thirsty enemy forces? Where's Iceland's national pride? This would not have happened in Germany, nor anywhere else in the world for that matter. For God's sake, what kind of country runs out of beer, regardless of the situation! Oh, the shame.

They say that the average college student could save 900 dollars a year not drinking! The average service member says laughingly hold my beer!
