'Morning, COL Mikel J. Burroughs. I like the wisdom from Honest Abe today. I've often reminded those around me that you don't have to look for opportunities to be a hero. Be patient. Those opportunities will find you. Your job is to be ready for them when they do. Cheers.

Do something worthy of recognition. Wrote a retirement MSM a month ago for an individual with 25 years. He was enlisted and was a shirt. He commissioned and was on the O side for just about 10 years. You would think he had a few things to highlight. Nope. I did however use the example when talking with the junior enlisted later. Something like that shocks a doer, but great to utilize to speak to younger troops. Conversely, recognizing our followers is easy and the return is tremendous. Great thought to start the weekend Col. Hope all is well.
