Good morning Col Burroughs. Our political leadership is oftentimes embarrassing and incomprehensible to me. I think that is because they, unlike us, have not served where failure to follow the rules of conduct cost lives. Those who have tend to remember and to behave accordingly. Most of us have no problem conducting ourselves appropriately, but should there be any doubt, think to the best leader you followed and model your behavior after that.

Lt Col Charlie Brown - You're absolutely right about our government officials, those who've not served in the military Charlie. I love all the quotes you shared today for the topic.
"May your true character and conduct shine like a beacon for others to follow; may you always display a great attitude; may you keep yourself healthy; and keep your family safe, secure, happy, and healthy. May your conduct leave an everlasting impression for all to emulate." — COL (Ret) Mikel Burroughs

Good Sunday morning Burroughs' Posse Leader from the Greater Boston area... I just woke up and am checking my email & dropped on over to RP to see who is up early! LOL! I see you are one of those early risers, Mikel...as it's about 4:30 am in Colorado...
I am working on a kitchen project installing soft close cabinet drawer hardware... Not as easy as I thought it would be... LOL! I probably should not have tackled it! Anyway I will be back to complete my response a bit later... Have a great Sunday Mikel...
Just got back after some hot coffee and breakfast... Man that coffee tasted good this morning!
“Conduct Day!” Why Not?
1) "Discipline isn't a dirty word. Far from it. Discipline is the one thing that separates us from chaos and anarchy. Discipline implies timing. It's the precursor to good behavior, and it never comes from bad behavior. People who associate discipline with punishment are wrong: with discipline, punishment is unnecessary." - Buck Brannaman
2) "Knowledge is no guarantee of good behavior, but ignorance is a virtual guarantee of bad behavior." - Martha C. Nussbaum
3) "A person who is knowingly bent on bad behavior, gets upset when better behavior is expected of them." - Jane Austen
4) "Making the extra effort to say thanks in a genuine, personal manner goes a long way. It is pleasurable to do, and it encourages more of the same good behavior." - Richard Branson
5) "I believe that the horrifying deterioration in the ethical conduct of people today stems from the mechanization and dehumanization of our lives. A disastrous by-product of the development of the scientific and technical mentality. We are guilty. Man grows cold faster than the planet he inhabits." -
Albert Einstein
For those who have never been in the military, they do not understand. For those of us who have been, we totally understand that...
