Sgt (Join to see) If we were in school today that would have been my old man statement.
Mr. Burk is so old...that he survived the Ides of March ( 4th day of the Roman Calendar, also the day Julius Cesar was killed). A student gave this one to me last week. I was actually surprised someone knew about this then I found out he had taken the World History class when I asked him where he learned about it. So contrary to what some believe, students do actually learn things in school these days and it isn't all indoctrination.

SPC Michael Terrell I loved drafting, took it for 3 years. The occupation still exists, but all the skills I learned are all computer generated these days.

Lt Col John (Jack) Christensen - I wrote some software for designing 'Strand Maps' for cable TV back in the '80s. These maps show the layout of the system, the position of every Trunk or extender amplifier, power supply and tap position. Levels have to be calculated at every point to maintain proper signal levels throughout the system. Our standard was +10dB mV at the tap, for each drop.
I've also designed printed circuit boards and designed cabinets.
I still have my drafting table, in my home library.

Lt Col John (Jack) Christensen - I mostly use it to scan ld manuals and sort components because of its size. It comes apart to make it easier to move, and has a large storage area under its top. It is 3'x5' I replaced the thin wood braces on the legs with some leftover T-111 wood siding, then added corner trim to make it rock solid.
I bought it new, at a Sears Outlet store in the '80s. It was marked down to half price when I first saw it. When I went back on payday, it was marked down again to $75. I was driving a Dodge Colt. I drove home with it, after work. 35 miles in the dark with it strapped to the roof.

There are enough dictators around the world, so it wouldn't surprise me.

Great share. Unlike many, I really enjoyed ancient history, even considered becoming an archeologist at one point. I'm guessing it's one of those days based on history that have been overly embellished over the centuries.

I LOVE Watching Programs Involving Archaeology, But I Would NOT Like Having To Do All That Work.....I'm A National Geographic Addict. I'm Completely Hooked On It. About A Couple Months Ago They Showed A Program Involving The Aztec Nation...With New Technology They Have The Ability To Scan A Jungle Area & Remove ALL Vegetation;
In Doing So, It Was Discovered The Aztec's Covered A Much Larger Area & Also Found Over 60,000 Aztec Building, Not Previously Know About. YES, 60,000...!!
