The AR-15 is almost never used in any of the murders/mass shootings that they use as an excuse for banning this weapon. The last one was with a couple of handguns. This is a piece of cheese thrown to the ignorant rat pack who want "something to be done" and still believe that AR stands for Automatic Rifle or some such nonsense.

Weapon also gives it negative connotation. I try to use firearm, rifle,or gun. Just an observation.

It has been available to the public since the early 1960s. It is not the problem nor is any other firearm.

One of the problems is that most people are clueless as to the meaning of "AR", and have bought into the false-definition of "assault-rifle".
