Interesting but it could have been better named. I was expecting a gun that fired needles. "Breech loader" or "cartridge gun" might have been more apt

CPT Jack Durish - firing pin came first. I wasn't treating you like an idiot or like you were stupid. Your post indicated that you might not know about this particular arms, which most people don't know, so I answered it, and without being snide or disparaging. If you choose to take it as being treated as if you were stupid, that's on you, not me.

Capt Gregory Prickett - The video explained it quite well. The fact that you chose to explain it again to me is quite indicative. BTW, I suspect that burning paper in an a rifle chamber may have been the problem with the fouling. Now, here I will defer to your greater knowledge and ask for confirmation or alternate explanation

CPT Jack Durish - Could be, but I doubt it. Paper burns cleaner than black powder. It was my understanding that the fouling increased the diameter of the needle, which caused problems. I don't know if this was due to the size of the hole in the bolt for the needle or more difficultly in punching through the paper and powder.
