What will be you be doing Veteran's Day weekend in 2017?

This year Veterans Day falls on Saturday and the Federal Holiday is today. On Memorial Day the nation honors the war dead and on Veterans Day the nation honors those who served in the armed forces of the USA. We who served and who currently serve remember the war dead and our service throughout our lives.

I will be spending time with my family this weekend. I hope to spend some time with some older veterans this weekend. One of my nearby friends is a WWII Coast Guard veteran and another served in the early 1960s.
When I was younger and still in the Army I did my best to eat a few free meals on Veteran’s Day. Now that I am older I can at most eat two meals.
I am considering driving to Martinsburg, WV to get a meal at Hoss's this evening.
My darling wife and I will be meeting another veteran and his wife at Texas Road House on November 11 and at Golden Coral on Monday 13 November

I hope you have a wonderful weekend with your wife SGT David A. 'Cowboy' Groth. My darling wife and I may go to Olive Garden or Applebee's where went in previous years. I am considering getting a burger at Red Robin earlier in the day.
