When will the Russia - Ukraine war end and will it be a stalemate?

The Russia - Ukraine Conflict dates back to 2014, when Russia annexed Crimea, which was part of Ukraine. In February 2022, Russia invaded Ukraine again. For more than six months now Russian forces have found resistance from the Ukrainian forces and militia. Russia has now resorted to the use of long range missiles/rockets against Ukraine in Kharkiv, which was retaken by Ukrainian forces after Russian forces retreated. Similarly, Odesa, Kherson and another port city were retaken by Ukrainian forces forcing Russia to retreat. The Ukrainian forces are fighting to retake Russian occupied territory in eastern Ukraine too. Has Putin and his advisers miscalculated Ukraine?

CPT Gurinder (Gene) Rana I think Russia grossly underestimated Ukraine desire to fight back. I believe they thought it would just be "We'll move in and take over" with little to no resistance.

Poland is now spending 5% of his GDP toward defense but I wonder if part of that is going to Ukraine. I didn't know that Ukraine and Poland were the same countries for a while a couple of centuries back.
Russia has also threatened Poland. Russia has an enclave called Kaliningrad.
While President Biden continues to cut back on our defense and focus on climate change,( A 5% increase in the defense budget with an 8% inflation and a definite increase in fuel costs means that the US military has a smaller budget thanks to his stupid policies). President Biden has increased a couple of different government agencies by 12% increase to mitigate climate change and (we just threw $300 billion dollars into climate change bullshit in the fraudulent 'inflation reduction act' which does nothing of the kind) But will increase inflation by the time the midterm elections happen indefinitely after New Year's 2023.

Many European NATO countries are slowly using up their reserve war stock to try to rearm or resupply Ukraine. Many like, Canada, do not allocate 2% of their GDP towards Defense. It is voluntary but Europe has gone more Green than Dumb Woke President Biden and now they are in a pickle since they have shut down most of their Nuclear Power and coal-fired plants. England is about to resume Fracking so the Greenies in Europe are going to have a shit fit over this.
Those European countries are also in a recession and dealing with Russia cutting off their natural gas supply as of last week. Climate change is not the biggest existential threat but the shortage of natural gas bridge of natural gas and even electricity in Western Europe. Our president Biden has his head in the 5th point of contact and doesn't get it.
The church of the green new deal will not let him change his position. We will continue to give money to Ukraine at the same time our military keeps shrinking. The US navy is scheduled to get rid of 23 ships in 2023. Some of those ships Congress may have overridden but those literal combat ships are a piece of junk but at least they're still available.
While president Biden warns about climate change in our transition to clean energy at the expense of our cheap energy, we are being threatened by North Korea, China against Taiwan, and now Russia threatening the Baltic States and Neutral Countries like Finland and Sweden that will now join NATO and the people of Poland. President Biden is a dreamer and thinks he can take care of climate change, kick open the border to allow in 2 million illegal aliens and give money to his donors and forgive college loans, and claim that the republicans are threatening social security while the democrats are threatening to make inflation worse? Here we are trying to defeat Communism and Ukraine by defeating Russia. Still, we are starting to act like fascists By a desperate American president who is using social media to censor his enemies.
It is strange that we are supporting a government that's fighting for democracy at the same time our woke and upset President Biden is trying to institute fascism by using proxies and calling his rivals 'fascists.'
What a conundrum to be supporting a country fighting surf for survival At the same time certain leftist democrats including the president are trying to Weaken and eventually destroyed democracy in the name of power.
