We witnesses their heroic efforts by a few hundred who defended Kobani against ISIS. We reveled as the Kurds got armed and grew an army of which the females carried grenades or saved a last round instead of being captured. We go into a partnership with Turkey and now they are bombing and burning Kurdish site, and we refuse to allow further arming of the Kurds. Where is our intelligence, our compassion, and understanding of people and humanity. I am sick to my stomach as we continue to make one mistake after another. The Turks bring nothing to the fight that is significant as it takes infantry to fight infantry. How Much More Harm Can We Do In The Middle East?2015-08-03T18:10:38-04:00MAJ Ken Landgren863363<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>We watched as a few hundred Kurds opened safe corridors to allow their people escape violence. America is only as good as its civilian leadership and for the last OMG 28 years (Bush 1, Clinton, Bush 2, Obama) they've gotten progressively worse on the experience, intelligence, compassion, and humanity scale (despite President Obama winning a Nobel Peace Prize for having done nothing). I shudder to think what could happen under a Clinton 2 or Bush 3.Response by MSgt James Mullis made Aug 3 at 2015 7:00 PM2015-08-03T19:00:40-04:002015-08-03T19:00:40-04:00SPC George Rudenko863477<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Gen Schwartzkof said politics got in the way, and it was f'ed from there.Response by SPC George Rudenko made Aug 3 at 2015 7:21 PM2015-08-03T19:21:30-04:002015-08-03T19:21:30-04:00Capt Seid Waddell863502<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>This is what happens when we have a POTUS from the hard left; sound judgment is replaced with an ideology that is self-defeating.Response by Capt Seid Waddell made Aug 3 at 2015 7:42 PM2015-08-03T19:42:14-04:002015-08-03T19:42:14-04:00SSG James Arlington863676<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Go back and study the attitudes at the time of Sir Lawrence.Response by SSG James Arlington made Aug 3 at 2015 9:49 PM2015-08-03T21:49:50-04:002015-08-03T21:49:50-04:00Capt Richard I P.863685<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>My money is on 'a bunch.'Response by Capt Richard I P. made Aug 3 at 2015 9:56 PM2015-08-03T21:56:02-04:002015-08-03T21:56:02-04:00SSgt Private RallyPoint Member863754<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>There are days when I do actually wonder if our government is screwing up on purpose.Response by SSgt Private RallyPoint Member made Aug 3 at 2015 10:41 PM2015-08-03T22:41:08-04:002015-08-03T22:41:08-04:00PO1 William "Chip" Nagel865851<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Plenty More Harm, We Never had a winning record in dealing with the "Middle East" The best we ever did was the Treaty of Tripoli that got them to quit Pirating our Ships. Then again the Brits didn't do any better there either. Eventually they will have to sort it all out for themselves. We are Not "Dad". We are not the International Police. I have nothing but respect for the Kurds but their problems with their neighbors go way back and nothing we do short of just transporting the entire people and culture to this country will do.Response by PO1 William "Chip" Nagel made Aug 4 at 2015 9:59 PM2015-08-04T21:59:09-04:002015-08-04T21:59:09-04:002015-08-03T18:10:38-04:00
