I am wondering if there is any business that I can make money with my computer and not jeopardize my benefits. This is a "SERIOUS" question; not a get rich quick scheme. If this is NOT allowed, please remove it with my apologies! Thank you! Bob

Up to the marginal income rate of $17,000 but why push it.

There are entire blogs dedicated to the subject, it wouldn't be possible cover it all here. You should start with searches for web storefront, Drop Shipping, and generating passive streams of income, and Amazon reseller

SFC (Join to see) Thank you Sir! - I appreciate it ( the sad thing is, I am pretty computer illiterate!) - I call my "SMART PHONE" a "DUMB PHONE" - my college kids just roll their eyes at me when I ask them how to text!!!

PO2 Robert M. - If you have a blog started, put a Amazon reseller on it. You get a percentage of every sale they get.

You might be able to run a headhunter/ recruiting service to merge candidates and employers together concentrating on Veterans employment.

SSG Trevor S. My major at University was Human Resource Management. I actually used to work putting disabled people back to work, but I had to give it up, for it was too demanding! Thank you Sir!

PO2 Robert M. Perfect, I worked as a recruiter in a friends company when I first came out of the military. Had no HR experience but military experience more than made up for that. You have both so you may be able to get back in at a less demanding level.

I am a 100% permanent & total service-connected disabled veteran. Is there any legitimate business I run from my computer and make money?

What degrees/training do you have? I know often especially now you can work quite a bit from home. People who caption television can work entirely from home for example but you may need to take a class or get a certification. Good luck.

PO2 Robert M. - I put three through college. I completely understand. Hope it goes well for you Bob. One area where you can work at a computer is a medical transcript typist. Lots of work there. My daughter- in- law did that and made pretty good money. Check that out. Not sure of the actual title of the job, but you should be able to find it in your search.

Great question, my friend PO2 Robert M.
My youngest sister has been working from home for over 30 years. In her case she translates French legal documents.
I recommend focusing on what skills you have that may be marketable and then do some research to see what opportunities exist and try to identify gaps that you could fill.

Hello Brother, I am also 100% Permanent and total. I started a YouTube channel to talk politics and other news related subjects that effects veterans and civilians. Before I did this I spoke with the VA and Social Security to see if it would be a conflict and was told it would not, because I’m not physically out employed with a company. That being said I did not monetize my videos for my personal income, all my monetized video income goes to my nonprofit Veterans United For Justice. But, per the VA you could do this as an additional income without it interfering with your VA. I’ve learned that via YouTube one can make as little or as lot as you would like after you get a good following. Have any other questions please reach out and I’ll help. Douglas

PO2 Robert M. - That is a good approach Bob. I thought of that also. You could start with just a few people, but then make it into a subscription thing. I have done that on one of my blogs and had 108,0000 followers. When you have that many. Advertisers will be happy to give you a cut of their income from the adds on your sight.

PO2 Robert M. I would step lightly. This is a slippery slope. The link provided gives awesome factual information.

What it does not give is the human factor. If you come under re-evaluation because the IRS, SSA, and VA interfaced computers pick up your SSN as employed, you may cause every aspect of your urgent status being re-evaluated. The human fa Tor is the loophole. And careful, some veteran service Officers who work 40 hours may not feel happy on the inside that you are 100% P/T trying to make extra money. If you don't get SSD, apply to SSA for the disability benefit. BUT, I don't feel good about this move you are contemplating

PO3 Phyllis Maynard Thank you, I just read an article about a veteran who lost his benefits from the VA (total unemployable) because he claimed $18 (I believe) on his taxes! I wish there were places for GRANT MONEY or something like that for Veterans who are having problems!
Oh well, I consider myself blessed: I have a roof over my head, and a big ol' tummy! (Thank you God!)
