Capt Walter Miller Simple fact on your ridiculous interpretation of statistics. Throughout his entire term all those stats add up to 70,450 jobs created per month. However our population is growing at near 90,000 per month. So even with all this job growth we are still shrinking jobs. Take a basic economics course.

Well, Captain, you have to keep in mind that the GOP has actively been attacking the people of this country since 1981. Lately the GOP has blocked everything they possibly could - even bills to help prevent veteran suicides - so all in all, President Obama has done, well, a great job.

When those hideous bastards in the GOP say we can't afford Social Security, or student loans, when they say we have to cut the size of the military for instance, who could possibly be stupid enough to buy off on that? The Military is smaller now than it was in 1990. We could afford to support that Force but for some reason, we can't now support a smaller Force?

The GOP is attacking the very country itself.

Geez, wake up.

Ninety-Four million Americans no longer looking for jobs makes the labor participation rate the lowest in 45 years. The Chinese thought Mao was great, the Russians thought Stalin was great--until the woke up.

I believe that when someone says he is the worse president in history they are implying that he is the worse president in their life time. I think this because there is a lot that actually happens that a president has their hand in. Some of those things we will never read about in history books or even hear about period.

With that said. On the matter of these jobs that where created. He didn't create those jobs. Most where in the private sector and some where because of people retiring. Also those jobs where created by new companies like Lyft and Uber. Also the tech startup industry was born which has created millions of jobs.

Unemployment decreased because those who are in their 50s and up stopped looking and retired early. So they are no longer counted in the unemployment numbers.

Did anything really change when he took office? No, nothing really changed. Congress remains divided on every issue. There was no immigration reform. The changes he promised haven't happened. Nothing has changed with how the government operate. The government continues to over spend and not actually balance the budget. They keep threatening to stop military pay every year, they keep threatening a variety of different things. Take your pick.

So, is he the worse in history? Probably not but he is still pretty bad. He didn't create the jobs we have. He didn't create the new businesses we have. He didn't create the small businesses in our communities. Yet, he says the government created them. What a load of BS. How do you know a politician is lying? Their mouth is moving.

Sgt Jay Jones Businesses fill a need based on consumer feedback, i. e., buying merchandise/services. However, when the government raises taxes or mandates fines in loo of rising health care costs, the consumer has less cash to spend thereby reducing business need.

Likewise, the THREAT of an increase in minimum wage has sent businesses like fast food (teenager) havens into the market for technology (robots/kiosks) to perform jobs that used to be performed by non-skilled employees who learn job skills like teamwork to be used later in life.

Jobs? Which "U"nemployment scale do those who favor the potUS look at, U1? U2? U3? U4? U5? or the U6? The truth is, the supporters will only look at the metric that makes their side look better. In the long run, they hurt not only themselves, but it keeps the truth away from the citizen who may need that data to make informed decisions.

Good Point PO Sheibels; Capt. Miller could learn a few things from you... like where to get more "accurate" information... and perhaps how to see what's right in front of his face... In O'Bama's case, his mouth moves a lot and yet he says nothing... of import.

More accurately Sgt Jones, O'Bama's Administration has seen to it consumers... have way less money to spend! Not more. Take your pick of the U's 1-6, they're all the result of statistical "slight of hand" and if you look at them closely, there is little if any accuracy in any of them.

"What President Obama's administration had done is ensure that consumers have the money to spend." This statement is a fallacy, if the Administration has done anything over the past 7 years and that's a big if... it has made sure ALL Americans have less of their hard earned money to spend on their wants, needs and desires... and I disagree vehemently with the statement and doubt you're going to agree with me regardless.

If you're truly better off than you were 6, 8 or more years ago... that's good I'm glad for you Sir, but Myself and the majority of my Friends and Family are NOT, due to the piss poor fiscal policies and unnecessary and burdensome regulation, executive orders and fiscal policies of this administration. And that specifically is what the "down vote" is about. And I stand by it.

As to the WORST President of all time... I have, and will always believe Woodrow Wilson was the most evil and worst President of all time. He sold America down the river with the Federal Reserve Act and the Revenue Act of 1913. Until then, citizens did not pay income taxes. Only Corporations paid taxes. Wilson and his evil cronies in Congress passed these two acts in the dead of night during the holidays when most of Congress was home. What do these two Acts have to do with each other and why did they both need to be passed you ask?? The Constitution states that only the Treasury can print and coin money. The Federal Reserve Bank is a privately owned, FOR PROFIT Corporation owned by some of the richest families in the world. The Federal Reserve Act transferred the power to print money from the US Treasury to this private corporation. If you look at your money, it no longer says US Treasury Note... It says Federal Reserve Note. The Federal Reserve prints its' own currency and LOANS it to the Federal Government and charges INTEREST on it!! The only way the Government could come up with enough revenue to pay the massive interest charged by the Federal Reserve Bank was to start taxing individual citizens. Wilson, in effect, sold us out and stole our hard earned money, because he was promised the Presidency by the powerful families if he would pass these two acts. In my opinion, President Obama may be one of our best Presidents, and I feel his policies will have long reaching affects and he is going to have to go a LOOOOONG way to beat Woodrow Wilson.

CPL Doug Hill - You sound like most people who dislike Obama because he is black. And please it's taxes not tax's. I am homeowner and I bought my home in 2008 before Obama became President and I have held on to it with meager E-5 pay which also takes care 3 dependents. It is human nature to blame others when things don't go well for. I for never blame anybody for everything because that how you stay bitter and remain down while the people you blame progress.

I was not a fan of Jimmy Carter ..he cancelled the B-1 Bomber in 1977 and it cost me my job at Rockwell International at Los Angeles. Then I worked with a retired Marine Colonel who was part of the team in the Pentagon who planned the rescue attempt for our embassy staff in Tehran. He told us about what it was like working for Jimmy Carter and his SecDef Harold Brown and I could not believe how bad that relationship was between the Pentagon and Jimmy Carter.

SFC (Join to see) - Before you correct someones spelling, perhaps you should check your own grammar. Correction of last sentence: I for one will never blame anybody for everything that goes wrong. That is how you stay bitter and remain down while the people you blame progress. ( at least it reads better).

Neither a Conservative nor a Progressive here, but, let's delve into the root of the argument.

It's how you measure success. And where you lay responsibility or blame.

As an example, the economy is cyclic. It goes up, it goes down. We know that. So depending on the cycle, someone will get blamed, it's just a matter of who.

Additionally, it's how you quantify "best." Using terms like "Top 10" don't mean a lot when you have 40~ presidents. That's only the 75th percentile.

Now, the issue many folks run into is "single voter" effects. Or even party line effects. Someone comes on and tries to pass asinine gun laws which will have negligible effects on actual gun laws, I'll call them an idiot or a liar, because that's what they are. That's just one example.

That doesn't make him the worst however. It just gives ammo to an argument for unpopularity. Which is a measurement for an elected official.

Those numbers have more to do with the federal reserve than the POTUS. Worse economic recovery in history. How many of these jobs are going to the 30 million illegal immigrants? Not convinced

Well, he's a Marxist and has done more to institute Marxism in this nation than any President since FDR. Our standing internationally is lower than ever, quite the accomplishment given his predecessor. And we're more divided than ever along party, class, racial, gender and sexuality lines which, again, is quite the accomplishment given his predecessor.

Well, there's his own history to begin with. Obama's father was a Marxist. His mother was a Marxist. His grandparents were Marxists. In his book, he referred to a mentor whose subsequently been shown to be Frank Marshall Davis, a literal card-carrying member of the Communist Party, USA. He further discussed seeking out the radicals and Marxists in college. Moreover, he was close friends with both Bill Ayers, a radical Marxist terroristYou don't think that this would influence him? Lastly, the Communist Party USA endorsed Obama in 2012.

Also, citing TARP is largely irrelevant; it was passed when Bush was in office.

sorry to burst your bubble but the statistics you cite are manipulated numbers. We have the lowest labor participation rate in 40 years. Real unemployment is more than 15% when you calculate those who have given up looking for work.
